RADY CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL, SEAWORLD, SHAMU AND YOU FAMILY WALK
On Sunday October 26, 2014 at 7:30 am, TEAM SDAHU walked for our philanthropic partners, The Rady Children’s Hospital Special Needs Clinic and The Helen Bernardy Center. We recruited close to 50 members and friends who joined our team. All funds raised went directly to the medically fragile children and programs we work with. We also recruited businesses and organizations to walk with us. Over 5,000 walkers participated this year to help raise funds for Rady Children’s Hospital.
Our goal was to raise at least $10,000 for much needed equipment and special activities for the children. Every year SDAHU “Walks the Walk”. Your contributions are greatly appreciated!
We are donating instruments and volunteering to help this wonderful non-profit program that works with children with various special needs, including autism and Down Syndrome. If you have any old instruments in the garage or not being used and would like to donate them, please contact Fred Cartier or Joel Marcus. They will be used by many appreciative children. Volunteers are also welcome to be at the rocking jam sessions that are held in Point Loma and Carlsbad. Fred and Joel can also help as contacts and more information. Don’t miss out on the fun.
If you are interested in donating 1-2 hours a month to be a member of the SDAHU Philanthropy Committee, please get in touch with Gail or Joel ASAP. All committee work is usually done by e mail.
