(Course #276327 – 1 hour CEU)

Speaker: Fred Cartier, SDAHU VP of Programs

Today’s health and welfare benefits environment is experiencing rapid fluctuation in the cost of health care, plan design and governmental compliance. As a result, the employer can no longer afford to take a paternalistic approach to employee benefits. The emerging trend is for the employer to engage the consumer (employee) by developing a partnership with employees where each plays a significant role in benefits. This requires careful planning, employee involvement to achieve employer objectives and meeting employee needs.

This course is intended to give agents/brokers a basic understanding of methodologies to engage employees in their healthcare.
