In today’s rapidly changing healthcare delivery system producers are confronted with an ever expanding set of laws and regulations. These changes are threatening to restrict the market and reduce compensation. To survive, the broker must be innovative and seek new ways to expand their market base. This will include expansion into new ancillary product markets and for the innovative broker that truly wants to differentiate themselves it will include areas of fee-based planning.
This course is intended to give an overview of the steps necessary to position an agency or practice to stay in compliance with the California Insurance Code (CIC) charging fees. Additionally, this course will identify areas where these services are appropriate and tangent to the sale of insurance products.

Scott Maichel is a Principal with AmCheck, a local Payroll-HR outsourcing services company located in downtown San Diego. AmCheck has been in business since 1996 and currently has 12 offices across the U.S.. Scott has over 20+ years of experience in the payroll and HR services arena. Prior to AmCheck, Scott worked at ADP in Chicago where he held positions in sales and sales management.
