The Legal & Business Pitfalls of a PEO
March 20, 2014 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

PEO’s continue their aggressive attempts to gain market share from the San Diego benefit broker community. In this informative session co-presented by Scott Maichel, Principal, AmCheck and Wendy Tucker, Senior Counsel, Procopio, both the legal and business pitfalls of the PEO model will be highlighted. This presentation will pinpoint areas of concern inherent in the PEO model that employers should be aware of including: liability for lawsuits, limitations on EPLI coverage, terminating PEO contracts and hidden fees in the PEO model. This valuable information will arm brokers with the ammunition needed to defend a case against a PEO or take a case away from a PEO.
