What Every Employer Should Know: The Nuts & Bolts of Regulations, Laws and Best Practices
(This 1-hour CE Course #287990 applies to your license as a Business Management course. Per the CDI,only 25 percent of a licensee’s required continuing education may be in Business Management courses).

This lunch CE program is intended to summarize important laws, regulations and best practices that every employer in California should know. This information will allow agents to be more effective when hiring, firing, and running their agency operations and to allow them to help their client with issues regarding candidates and employees.

Julie is the President of San Diego Insurance Staffing (SDIS). She started SDIS in 1995 and specializes in placing temporary and direct-hire employees throughout Southern California for the insurance and financial services industries. Julie is a California Licensed Fire/Casualty Agent and a Certified Staffing Professional. She is a member of the American Staffing Association (ASA) and California Staffing Professionals.

 

Prior to founding San Diego Insurance Staffing, Julie spent more than 12 years in insurance both at carrier and agency level in Southern California and North Carolina. From sales and customer service in both personal and commercial lines, to operations manager, Julie learned the insurance industry.

Craig was the 2011 President of the International Disability Insurance Society (IDIS), 2011-2013 President of the San Diego Association of Health Underwriters (SDAHU) and the 2010-2011 President of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors of San Diego (NAIFA). He has written articles,conducted seminars, been interviewed on TV, radio, in the newspaper and magazines (including the June 2011 issue of Money Magazine where he discussed the current DI marketplace). He has been a guest speaker for various interest groups addressing many aspects of Health, Life, Disability and Long Term Care Insurance.
