COVID-19 UPDATES
A message to our members and community,
SDAHU has been closely monitoring all official guidelines and advisories regarding risk, safe practices, and recommendations regarding COVID-19. As the situation continues to evolve, our main priority is the health and safety of our community and members. Therefore, after careful consideration and consultation we have decided to postpone the following events:
- April Luncheon – April 16th
- Dancing with the Stars – April 15th
- May Luncheon – May 21st (TBD)
It is our goal to remain committed to delivering timely details as new information is available and encourage everyone to follow the health and safety guidelines as outlined by the CDC and WHO. Here are some helpful links for you & your clients

PRACTICE GOOD HYGIENE
- Stop handshaking – use other non contact methods of greeting
- Clean hands at the door and schedule regular hand washing reminders by email
- Create habits and reminders to avoid touching their faces and cover coughs and sneezes
- Disinfect surfaces like doorknobs, tables, desks, and handrails regularly
- Increase ventilation by opening windows or adjusting air conditioning
BE CAREFUL WITH MEETING AND TRAVEL
- Use videoconferencing for meetings when possible
- When not possible, hold meetings in open, well-ventilated spaces
- Consider adjusting or postponing large meetings or gatherings
- Assess the risks of business travel

Today the Senate passed the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, and President Trump is expected to sign the bill shortly. The Act includes several provisions to protect American workers and assist employers in providing emergency paid sick leave, as well as paid family leave in the case of school closures, for working families impacted by COVID-19.
